WWD Points ListThe Western Washington Division maintains a points list for all WWD competitors that participate in division sponsored tournaments. The purpose of this points list is to encourage local fencers to compete in division tournaments, to provide an added bonus to the local competitive scene, and perhaps make it a little more worthwhile to compete. It will also provide a way for the division to give something back to its membership and create an ongoing competition to keep track of during the season. Only members of the Western Washington Division of the USFA are eligible to participate in this points list. Current StandingsThe current point standings are now maintained by FRED. You can view the standings at http://askfred.net/Results/pointsLists.php How Points are EarnedPoints are earned by attending the following tournaments:
Points will be awarded to the top 32 finishers in each event based on the WWD Points Table. For women competing in mixed events, the higher score (mixed vs. women's) will be used as the result for that tournament. For example, if a woman fences Women's Foil and finishes 12th, then competes in Mixed Foil and finishes 10th, her 10th place result would be used for awarding points. At the end of the season, the top 3 out of 4 results are used to compute the fencer's final point total. In the case of a tie for first place, the winner will be the fencer that attended more events. The top finisher in each weapon will receive their choice of one of the following:
