Division Qualifiers

Qualifiers for Division 2 and 3 and for Y14 events at Summer Nationals will take place this weekend at Salle Auriol. For more information or to pre-register, go to AskFRED. If you're thinking of fencing, please pre-register soon; if you haven't registered by midnight on Wednesday the 25th, you'll have to pay double! Note that you don't have to pay in advance, just sign up.
If you're not sure if you are pre-qualified, the USFA keeps the latest list of auto-qualifiers posted on the USFA site.
Goodbye, Hannah; Welcome, Mike!

We regret to announce that Hannah Sutton, after many years of service to the division as Secretary (and many years of success on the strip!), has moved to Boston. The rest of the officers would like to wish her the best of luck, and hopefully we'll see her at the Battle in Seattle next year!
At the same time, we'd like to announce that Michael Reiter has been appointed by the board to finish out Hannah's term of office. Mike is a familiar face around the division; he fences saber and epee for Metro Tacoma Fencing Club, and helps organize their events, including the South Sound Bladefest. Welcome, Mike!!

2012 Summer Nationals will be in Anaheim, CA, instead of Dallas. For those of us in the WWD, that should mean cheaper flights and no time zone change!
